Narrative
Provides information, trainings & referrals to parents & professionals on special education laws, procedures, and related issues. Components include information, referral, and technical assistance by telephone, two-hour workshops offered statewide on Basic Rights under special education laws, IEP, Suspension & Discipline, Turning Three Essentials, Intro to Transition Planning, Creating a Post-Secondary Vision, Effective Communication, and more. Fee for 40-hour intensive training program, Parent Consultant Training Institute. Support groups and additional assistance available for parents speaking Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
