Narrative
New England Pediatric Care (N.E.P.C.) is a unique type of nursing home…it’s for children – and it’s also a special education day school. N.E.P.C. is an 80-bed facility located in N. Billerica that is specifically geared to care for children from birth to age 22. Children are very medically fragile, neurologically and/or multi-system impaired, with/without some cognitive impairments as well.
The services provided to the children, can involve the post-acute hospitalization admissions, short-term stays, or long-term stays which are for more chronically impaired children with severe cognitive delays.
N.E.P.C. provides 24 hours skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, therapeutic recreation, social service intervention and special education services for all of the patients, post-hospitalization, short-term and long-term along with the day students.
