Narrative

 Our Office of Disability Services (ODS) provides accommodations, services and auxiliary aids to students with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act As Amended (2008) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (1973). We serve individuals with disabilities who are defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act as someone who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, has a history of such an impairment, or is perceived by others as having such an impairment.

Springfield Technical Community College  offers a variety of programs including day and evening English Sign Language classes, General Equivalency Diploma and Pre-General Equivalency Diploma classes, an Adult Basic Education Center for those 18 and over, as well as Disability Services which allow students with disabilities equal access to college programs through specialized adaptive equipment, listening devices, supportive counseling, etc.  Proof of disability from licensed professional required.  For more information call Office of Disability Services at 413-755-4551.
