Narrative

Old Colony Hospice is a nonprofit community based healthcare agency meeting the physical, emotional, social, & spiritual needs of patients facing the challenge of terminal illness. Patients receive care in their homes or in nursing homes. Services include support for the patient's families/loved ones as well as bereavement support and counseling groups - free of charge.

Palliative Care is designed to provide emotional, spiritual and physical symptom management for patients and their families facing chronic, progressive or complex illnesses. The goal of palliative care is to improve quality of life through management of troubling symptoms.

Old Colony Hospice was founded in 1979 and last year provided care to over 800 patients and their loved ones in Bristol, Norfolk & Plymouth counties - covering 63 towns in southeastern Massachusetts.
