Narrative

Day Habilitation services are therapeutic day services offered to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) whose ability to live in the community is at risk due to their medical, physical or emotional-behavioral conditions.  As such, this is considered to be a healthcare service, which needs to be validated by an Individual’s physician, and is paid for throughthe person’s insurance (usually MA Health,  a One Care Program health organization, or a senior care organization).  Often times, participants in this service model are adults of all ages  with chronic medical conditions requiring on going attention.
