Narrative
The OSAR (Outreach, Screening, Assessment and Referral) program is funded by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). We are part of Emergence Health Network. Through OSAR, any Texas resident 13-years and older can get free screenings and referrals. They want help with their substance use disorder. OSAR staff will meet with anyone. We use a safe setting. We screen if you need to be working with a substance use treatment program for help. Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors see that each person is set up with drug treatment services near them.
