Narrative

Promoting Art, Creativity, and Employment (PACE) is our community-based day service. We supports people who are nearing retirement age, temporarily unemployed, or working part time and or for whom working full-time is not a goal.

This service operates much like the employment supports. It begins with the person, their unique interests and talents, and their communities. We work to connect people with their senior centers or other businesses doing activities that are of particular interest. People can feel fulfilled & productive. Ideally, people are being given the chance to meet other community members with whom they can share their common interests. Some activities that people have enjoyed are:

• tending a garden
• playing pool
• going to a horse show
• taking a painting class
• pottery making
• archery
• attending a cooking class
• taking photos
• outdoor activities

Services include volunteering at other non-profits, artistic pursuits, classes, recreational activities and more.
