Narrative

Perkins Library circulates more than half a million copies of accessible books, newspapers, and publications in braille, large print, and digital audio formats annually. We have thousands of registered patrons with print disabilities in Massachusetts, New England, and beyond.

Free books and magazines in braille, audio, and large print

• described DVDs
• downloadable audio, and braille
• telephone access to newspapers
• free or discounted museum passes

Reference services, children and young adult services and programming, and services in Spanish. wMaterials available in other languages. All materials are sent postage-free via US mail.

Available to anyone blind, visually impaired, or with a physical or reading disability, or to organizations serving these populations. 

Playback equipment and accessories are loaned free. Open Monday - Friday, 8:30-5 pm., except holidays. Must apply for services. Can download an application by calling the Library or download through the website.
