Narrative

Our Services:

PBS Corp. is comprehensive agency providing services to individuals with behavior challenges and skill deficits that affect their ability to function effectively in home, school, and community environments.  PBS Corp. employs a large group of highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated professionals, including bachelor's level  (BCaBA), master's level (BCBA), and doctoral level (BCBA-D). Behavior Assistants, Registered Behavior Technicians, and Student Analysts are available to provide ongoing support under the supervision of our behavior analysts and other professionals.

Our  services are individualized and based on the clients' and caregivers' needs and focus on quality of life.  Many of our behavior analysts specialize in designing and implementing plans for individuals with Autism Spectrum disorder.  Services may range from consultation to comprehensive home and community support.  PBS Corp. staff has school-based experience and collaboration with local school districts to maximize our clients' educational success.  Our program is designed to empower parents and other caregivers to support clients within their natural routines so they can be successful and self-sufficient.

Behavior Analysis & Assistant:

Our behavior analysts engage in collaboration, individualized problem-solving process to design and implement strategies that are right for our clients, their families, and the professionals assisting them.  First, we identify behaviors of concern and goals to enhance the clients' and families quality of life.  Second, we gather and analyze information to understand patterns influencing the client's behavior.  Third, we work with the caregivers to design comprehensive plans that fit within natural routines and can be used by the individuals who care for the client. These plans include strategies for:

  • preventing problems by rearranging aspects of the environment
  • teaching skills to replace challenging behaviors and build independence (example: communication, functional daily living and academic skills)
  • managing consequences to encourage positive behaviors.

Fourth, we provide direct coaching, feedback, and support for clients and their caregivers to help implement the strategies on their own.  Finally, we track outcomes to ensure that the clients' behavior improves and the goals of the intervention are achieved completely and efficiently.  The overriding goal of our services is to help clients and their caregiver live quality, inclusive lives.
