Provide a safe environment for the client & a break for the family from the daily responsibility of caring for a head-injured person. Younger clients may require state approval. Respite care is for families who prefer to care for a loved one in a home setting but want or need a break. Especially helpful when your loved one is very ill or unstable, this care option gives you, the caregiver, time to recover from an often overwhelming, stressful experience. Respite care can be as short as a few days or as long as several weeks; it is completely your choice. Our admissions team works with the caregivers, the resident, and the resident’s doctors to assess care needs.

Respite care is offered at all Wingate Healthcare facilities.
