Narrative

 A safe, compassionate space for children affected by the death of a close family member. Grief support for children, teens and their families. 

Rick’s Place’s vision is for children, teens and families who are grieving to find comfort, develop coping skills and grow stronger together. At Rick’s Place, we offer support to children in kindergarten through high school. Children may not fully understand what death means or how it impacts their life. They do grieve.  The death of a parent is one of the most traumatic events that can occur for a teen.

We use creative approaches including art, music, play and poetry to encourage grief expression, memory sharing, feelings exploration, and self-care.
