Narrative

At Riverside Early Intervention, we support families with infants and toddlers from birth until their third birthday. Families are the most important people in their child’s development and understand their child better than anyone else.

That’s why we partner with families to identify the child’s strengths and challenges. Together, we develop a plan to address the child’s needs, building on family culture, routines, and preferences. Our dedicated and experienced staff includes developmental specialists, social workers, mental health professionals, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, and other specialists.

We offer:

  • Developmental assessments
  • Individualized visits

in your home, neighborhood, or in our offices, with your child’s caregiver or childcare provider

Groups:

  • Caregiver/child playgroups
  • Parent/guardian support groups
  • opportunities for non-eligible children to enroll in program groups

Families may receive services if their infant or toddler:
• Is slow to crawl, sit, walk, or talk
• Has difficulty regulating their sleep, emotions,
or behavior
• Has difficulty connecting with adults or other
children
• Has been diagnosed with a medical condition
that may result in a developmental delay
• Has feeding, vision, or hearing issues
• Was born prematurely
Or
• If the family is experiencing substance use,
domestic violence, homelessness, parental mental
illness, or significant stress
