Narrative

The Riverside School -Needham is a 766 approved therapeutic day school developed to meet the needs of adolescents in grades 6-12.  We specialize in educating teens with complex Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and vaious secondary disorders and learning difficulties.  We offer a low student to teacher ratio with highly skilled educational and clinical professionals.  Along with a strong academic component based on each student’s individual strengths and needs, the Riverside School includes a unique group and individual therapeutic model based on best practices in the field.  Students are given guided learning opportunities and practical application of learned skills. We are here to provide a strong foundation of life and educational skills essential for being a successful and productive member of the community.  By providing a safe, supportive and structured educational setting, our students are able to:
