Narrative

Provide 24 hour staff supports for 4 or fewer persons to live together. All efforts are made for people to live with the fewest number of housemates, in the communities of their choice, and with people with whom they have shared interests.

Staffing is provided 24-hours/day. Staff ratios allow individualized activity. Small group homes offer persons the opportunity to gain personal skills they may not have acquired earlier in their life. These can be  activities of daily living, as well as in more substantial tasks outside the home. Examples are food shopping and personal banking. With committed staff, people can acquire a full life of varied, personally chosen activities.
