Narrative
Head Start provides center-based and home-based preschool education for children ages 3-5 years old. Also, the program provides support services that include:
- health and dental care
- nutrition (healthy eating)
- special education
- parent skill workshops
- social services
Children are provided with a daily lunch and breakfast or snack, which meet all federal and state nutrition guidelines. Classrooms typically operate from September through early June, Monday-Friday, from 8:30am-2pm.
Program also provides child care for children 2 months to 12 years old who have parents that are working full time/going to school.
