Narrative

South Shore Ice Dragons is an adaptive and inclusive special ice hockey program that provides facilitated programs for special needs/disabled people of all ages, from 5 years and older into adulthood, within the South Shore of Massachusetts. We focus on ice hockey and team building activities that serve people with physical, developmental, cognitive, and/or intellectual disabilities. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and a member of ASHA, the American Special Hockey Association.

South Shore Ice Dragons seeks to:

• Invite and engage with people with physical and/or special needs, and their caregivers, to use creative solutions for their identified goals and challenges.

• Provide recreational opportunities with purpose for disabled/special needs families that are not available in the mainstream.

• Provide inclusive community events that celebrate the disabled/special needs community’s abilities.

• Support community collaborations that enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities/special needs, their families, and the community at large.
