Narrative

Specialized Autism Consultants is committed to supporting, empowering and educating individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder through innovative, therapeutic programming.

We specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) to teach communication, social and behavioral skills to children enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential. We use ABA and VB, which are widely recognized as the most effective way of helping children with a range of conditions and disorders to address such as:

Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's, Rett's, PDD-NOS, and CDD. Even a child significantly affected by a developmental disorder such as autism can make huge gains. With the right interventions, you can see dramatic improvements in your child's language and communication, behavior and social interaction.
Language and communication problems, which are often the underlying cause of challenging behavior, psychological problems and struggles at school or home. Equipping a child with new, or improved, language and communication skills often results in dramatic improvements in behavior, friendships and quality of life.
Social interaction difficulties. By teaching the social skills that a child may have not learnt, or helping your child to interact more appropriately, your child will enjoy interacting with others, levels of frustration will be reduced and you will have a more confident, contented child.
Challenging behavior. Specialist interventions to identify and address the core problems for your child’s challenging behavior can result in a dramatic decrease in harmful or inappropriate behaviors. Teaching new language and communication skills will enable your child to find new, age appropriate ways of behaving and interacting.
