Narrative

The Specialized Elementary Alternative Program (SEAP) provides educational and therapeutic services for students in grades K-6. Students may present with one or more of the following challenges:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Neurological
  • Intellectual Disability (ID)
  • Communication Impairment

which impacts learning socially and academically. 

Students receive individualized and small group teaching and staffing support. They learn to work on their activities of daily living (ADLs). Social and academic skills are taught using an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) approach as appropriate This includes:

  • discrete trial instruction
  • natural learning setttings
  • small group instruction
