Narrative

Spotlight offers therapeutic social pragmatics programs which integrate theater games and dramatic training with highly motivating age-appropriate activities such as video games. These techniques contribute to a positive social reinforcement-based environment and support the development of social competence and confidence for participants. Programming is offered after school, on Saturdays, and during vacation weeks throughout the school year.  A six week summer program and a one week August intensive are additionally offered.

The Spotlight Program Mission Statement
The Spotlight Program offers a unique evidence based curriculum designed to foster the development of social-emotional competence and confidence. Spotlight sets the scene for enriched social experiences that utilize executive functioning practices to fully realize each individual's best self. Spotlight is a safe environment for youth with diagnoses that impact their ability to form relationships, youth who have been bullied, or youth who are simply shy. Spotlight's specialized curriculum focuses on our core values of tolerance, community, flexibility and confidence. Our curriculum has been specifically developed to support all youth as they navigate the social nuances to self-determination.
