Narrative

Saint Francis Adult Day Health Program is dedicated to providing a service, which enables elders and impaired adults to remain in the community, for as long as feasible. The purpose of Saint Francis Adult Day Health Program shall be:

  • To provide daytime care for adults who are functionally, emotionally, and/or cognitively impaired (including Alzheimer’s Disease, or related dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Heart Disease, Macular Degeneration/Blindness and other impairments.)

  • To provide respite for families caring for adults.

  • To provide family support and supportive counseling to families with adult persons in their care.

  • To provide referrals to community resources and educational opportunities for caregivers through agencies offering caregiver support for in home care management of their loved one (including Alzheimer’s /dementia care).

  • To provide a center where students may receive training in working with seniors.

  • To delay premature institutionalization.
