Narrative

The Family Center for Counseling and Education is a fully licensed community mental health center providing

  • Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder counseling
  • Psychological assessment 
  • Evaluations 
  • Medication management 
  • Group therapy
  • Supportive services
  • Community based support groups 

Our team of counselors, nurses, and medical staff provide client-centered, comprehensive treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families to create wellness for a wide range of diverse age groups.

Counselors address a range of conditions, including:

  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Co-occurring disorders
  • Substance Use disorders
  • Personality disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Trauma
  • Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders

Since 1995, The Family Center for Counseling and Education has been attending to the emotional and social needs of our community, offering outpatient counseling and support with locations in Quincy Center, Taunton, and Jamaica Plain.
