TAP - Transition to Adulthood Program


SCIL has over ten years of experience working with youth in transition through TAP. TAP is designed for high school students or those in a GED program who are 14–22 years old with a disability. We provide the following services to the students we serve:

  • Advocacy
  • Peer Counseling
  • Information and Referrel
  • Skills Training to assist students in their development of:
    • Citizenship Responsibilities and Self Care
    • Social and Recreational Needs
    • Mobility and Transportation Needs
    • Money Management and Employment
    • Health Insurances and Benefits
    • Housing
    • Other continuing education opportunities.
