Narrative
UMass Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program provides nutrition education to low income families with young children. Community based EFNEP nutrition educators teach groups and high-risk individuals. No charge but limited to income eligible families. People gain knowledge AND skills needed to:
- plan low-cost healthy meals
- prepare food safely
- manage food resources
