Narrative

At Mercy Rehabilitation Services, we understand that recovery means something different to each person. That’s why we provide a network of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services – for adults and children – tailored to the person's needs and goals.

It’s an approach that has made us one of the most essential and respected health resources in Western Massachusetts. Since we opened in 1974, our team of doctors, therapists and certified rehabilitation nurses has helped thousands of people achieve improved health and independence.

In addition to doctors, the staff of 150 also includes pharmacists, speech pathologists, pain psychologists, care managers and dietitians. Mercy Rehabilitation Services provides patients a system of integrated, holistic care that often begins with intensive, on-site services.

All phases of therapy planning, decision-making and general care is planned by a team of doctors and professional staff, with the patient and family’s active involvement. Patients receive a high staff-to-patient ratio and a team approach, which adds up to a highly efficient, focused rehabilitation. Medical care and multiple therapies are carefully coordinated as rehabilitation proceeds through goal setting, treatment and education.
