Massachusetts wants to make voting accessible for all voters.  All polling places are checked to make sure they meet state accessibility regulations. Poll workers are trained to help voters with disabilities.

How to Register to Vote in Massachusetts

You can register to vote in Massachusetts if you are:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • Live in Massachusetts
  • 18 years or older
  • Not in jail for a serious crime

You can register to vote online, by mail, or in person.

The deadline to register to vote, update your registration, or change your party is 10 days before any election or town meeting.

Your voting rights are protected. These rights are guaranteed to qualified registered voters. If you feel that your right to vote has been violated in any way, call the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s Elections Division at 1-800-462-VOTE (8683).
